The West Dennis Garden Club

is the oldest garden club on the Cape and Islands.

Established in 1924, the club provides a common meeting ground for all interested in gardening. The club is active in improving the appearance of our community and promoting the conservation and preservation of our natural beauty and resources.

Members share an interest in gardening, designing, and maintaining their own gardens, as well as the community gardens. Monthly Meetings feature various programs, speakers, and design workshops.

Community Involvement

The West Dennis Garden Club takes part in many projects to improve the lives of its fellow citizens. These include providing floral arrangements to the DCAL at the Senior Center, maintaining gardens at two historic properties in West Dennis, regular donations to the Harwich Family Pantry, and donating to a deserving local family at the holidays.

Artistic Designs

Floral arranging and designing around the holidays are among the topics presented at monthly member meetings held throughout the year.

Scholarship Recipients

Scholarships are given each year to deserving local students pursuing college degrees in horticulture, environmental., agriculture studies or to related fields. Toolships are also awarded to area students, who are pursuing areas in landscaping or related fields after graduation.

New members and the public are welcome whether or not they have knowledge of gardening.
